Her shadow falls
On the smooth surface
And she felt it came with a slither
A fluffy lightness
Of a beautiful white light
Ethereal and undimmed,
Defying the shadow logic!
“If it were a little dense
A little dark
A little less queer”
She wished and turned around.
Her cheeks blushed.
Crimson suffused shadow!
Red red shadow!
A flood of thoughts, urges, whims
Occasionally pulsating plumes
Pounding to be green!
“If it’s eternal!”
She wished, sighed
Shadow embraced!
Uninvited blues creep in
Fated and ineluctable
Shadow thinning out
Pitch-dark, grey, only some streaks!
Vanished!
Only a fluffy lightness of beautiful white light
Fated and ineluctable
And eternally ethereal!
But shadow no more!
Finally, the beautiful white light:)Beautifully penned, Nasnin..

DeleteBeautifully penned, dear Nasnin, and in a manner that only you are capable of doing! You have a style that is 100% Y~O~U. I would recognize your work sans a name attached :-) I learned a new word ~ ineluctable! Yay ~ I love when that happens! Thank you, Professor Nasnin ;) Much Love {|:-)

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for dropping by:)
DeleteNasnin I am not sure if I have deciphered you well, this time..
ReplyDeleteBut I visualised the spiritual colours, you splashed on my canvas
and the bristles which changes the texture..
and then You dear Nasnin blending with YOU!
Pardon me, if I am all wrong.. but the reader at times draws her own imperfect images, blame her canvas:) Love you for that heavenly spaceless fragrance which I experienced now:)
Dear Pygma....I wrote this piece when a thread of thought just winded me all of a sudden. The thought was actually on girlhood...I meant the different colours which the girl's shadow takes on to convey the changes at different stages of her life. At first at childhood, even her shadow was a white light conveying innocence! Then she wanted to grow..she wanted the shadow to be a little more denser and dark. Then there is 'blood red' creeping in to show the wind of "spring" blushing her cheeks. Then she wished her "youth" to be immortal! But of course "sad blues" suffused the shadow...as she ages "grey" hairs and "pitch dark" loneliness worsen the shadow....and ultimately death approaches and washes the shadow away with only the initial white ethereal light left:)
DeleteYou can interpret it in any way you wish....and I think being an excellent critic you would come up with more charming ones...you make my posts complete dear...and I liked the "spiritual colours" that you have deciphered:) I am lucky to have a reader like you...I do learn a lot from you Pygma:):)
My dear Nasnin, I am so glad for the interpretation .. and even more glad to know that I was not far off, though not exact..
