Strangers

Most of the time it didn’t matter at all!
When you blabber to me
I would smile at you
And would dream of beautiful thoughts unspoken
By strangers.
But this time
You uttered something  beautiful
And I felt frustrated,
By the thought of possibility of fantasizing
 Strangers no more!
And then I got pacified
When it occurred that
Things have that lingering enchantment
Only in the hands of strangers
Distant, unknown and less familiar!
They would start “blabber”
Just like “you”
When they are no more strangers!

  1. What a read Nasnin!
true, there is a hitch, a hesitation when a stranger charts on an unknown territory. an unknown territory that is familiar to us, known to us, close to us and we don't like it because the likelihood of that 'stranger' being a stranger diminishes; that lingering enchantment is robbed of. but then perhaps, who knows, we start liking it some day :)
    lovely!

  4. Once uttered, fantasy dies.. ceases to be a pleasure, when it ceases to be untold!
I had told you once about the profile snap..sort of same feel..
Mind is so strange.. it needs untouched pastures.. where the dream clouds dwell:)
    Love dear

Loved this and it's so true! Sometimes I wonder if this is why relationships end and people move on to someone else once everything becomes so familiar? Part of the beauty of falling in love is the initial discovery phase between two people . . .

Beautifully and uniquely expressed as always!

    Much Love :)

  9. well i think at first everybody is a stranger..its the quality and duration of association that we become familiar and then reach a point where it becomes impossible to think of becoming strangers again... as the poet say...
